Dear Crump, Bettis, Chance, Daniels, Day, Faber, Haskins & Titus Families,

            We hope that this letter finds everyone happy, healthy and looking forward to the fall as we wind down what we hope was an enjoyable summer for all. Unfortunately, we did not plan a family reunion this year and as some of you may know, we were hoping to host our next family reunion on a Carnival Cruiser in April ’08 where the Heartbeats singing group (of which Uncles Albert and Walter Crump are members) were invited to perform. The bad news is that that plan does not seem to be coming together. The good news is that Uncle Walter and Aunt Shirley have offered to host a family reunion in Columbia, South Carolina in 2008 (thanks Uncle Walter and Aunt Shirley). As many of our family have moved south over the past several years ( Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia) we might want to consider alternating the location of our annual gatherings so that no one person or family has to travel a great distance each year. Alternating reunion sites will also give us the opportunity to visit places we would not otherwise visit.

Dates:             Friday, August 7-Sunday, August 9, 2009

 Location:        Sesquicetenial State Park, Columbia S.C.

 At this point, we are planning to have the majority of the food catered. The price per person will cover the Friday evening “Meet and Greet” Reception, the Saturday family picnic/barbeque, and the Sunday brunch. Details for additional (optional) expenses, i.e., family memorabilia (t-shirts, hats, etc.), local attractions and sight-seeing offerings will be made available in future communications.
